Craft Team Member – Laborers, Cement Finishers or Carpenters

Craft team members are essential contributors to successful field operations, performing skilled and physical work in support of a wide range of construction activities. This team includes laborers, cement finishers, and carpenters who work collaboratively to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with a high level of craftsmanship. Responsibilities vary by trade but may include site preparation and cleanup, formwork, concrete placement and finishing, framing, rough and finish carpentry, and general labor tasks. Team members are expected to follow direction from forepersons and superintendents, adhere to safety regulations, and take pride in delivering high-quality work. This role requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to teamwork, and the physical ability to perform demanding tasks in challenging environments. All craft team members must be members of their respective union.

Foreperson

The Field Foreperson position is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising field crews while actively participating in construction work. This position ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality, while enforcing safety regulations and coordinating with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors. In addition to daily crew oversight and jobsite planning, the Field Foreperson also handles administrative tasks such as job logs, crew evaluations, and safety meetings. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to perform various physical tasks in challenging environments. All forepersons must be members of their respective union.

Field Superintendent

Manage Project Field Operations: proactive participation in pre-job planning including, plan and specifications review and analysis to determine needed information, scheduling, coordination of subcontractor work activities, site mobilization, team communications and team building. Timely reporting of field time cards, percent completion information, daily logs and tool & equipment inventories. Manage client expectations with project managers. Communicate and enforce standard jobsite procedures and Berghammer’s safety policy with all workers and visitors at jobsites. Manage self-performed work for safety, quality and productivity. Maintain proactive work practices to minimize punchlist, timely completion of punchlist and final site demobilization.

Project Engineer Intern

Project Management: assist in proactive Project Management to meet or exceed original anticipated margins. Assist in pre-job planning by participating in estimating, scheduling, bidding, buyout and contracts. Assist in timely setup of job costing, handling of RFIs, change orders, pay applications and other project communications with Architects, Engineers and Subcontractors. Assist in managing client expectations and queries. Assist in timely final Subcontractor reconciliation and billing, punchlist, and final closeout.

Other Responsibilities: Comply with all company defined standards and procedures. Provide backup support to Senior Project Managers. Participate in the company’s strategic initiatives as may be requested from time to time.
