What a privilege to be part of this neighborhood project! We were honored to be a Revitalize Project sponsor and construction team for a homeowner in Menomonee Falls. Shoutout to our amazing team of volunteers and all those who supported the work to make this project possible.
Twenty-one Berghammer employees volunteered with Revitalize Milwaukee on Saturday, October 24, to build a wheelchair access ramp and complete various repairs for a homeowner. The day’s focal project was constructing a ramp to the front door to provide wheelchair access. Berghammer volunteers installed posts, framing, decking, and railings for the ramp, removing landscape timbers, trimming shrubs, and relocating plants to make room for the construction.
Throughout the day, we completed additional projects including replacing three exterior doors, replacing the overhead garage door seals and adjusting the door operator stop, replacing a kitchen ceiling fan and light, two exterior light fixtures, and an outdoor faucet. In the backyard, volunteers repaired a railing support, reattached the existing railing, adjusted the gate, installed new hinges, and completed cleanup of the yard, plantings, and trees.
