Urban Ecology Center

The Berghammer team was given the opportunity to convert a 100-year-old tavern into the educational community center. The project included sophisticated mechanical systems, sustainable design and reuse of materials adapted from their previous application. The renovated building now houses the operations of the Urban Ecology Center, which includes classroom space and a community center. This project achieved 71 LEED points (Version 2009), which is LEED Gold.
