During a growth period in the 1990s, St. James (at the time) desired more non-sanctuary gathering and meeting space for adult programming and mixed-use gathering. An addition housing an enlarged entry (narthex) as well as meeting rooms, library and a hall were constructed.
The project included a 17,500 SF addition/remodeling of the 2-story structure, new parish center and sanctuary remodeling, removing the existing convent.
