April 9, 2026

Three Berghammer projects have been named finalists in the 2026 Milwaukee Business Journal Real Estate Awards. Wow! We are excited and honored to see our clients’ projects recognized for excellence and impact. A big thank you to all our design and construction partners and our team members who helped to bring these projects to successful completion. Congratulations to all finalists!
The selected projects are:
Downtown Milwaukee Dog Park
The Downtown Milwaukee Dog Park is a 20,000-square-foot dog recreation area located across from the Milwaukee Public Market on Plankinton Ave. between Clybourn and St. Paul Ave. The park features fenced-in areas for small and large dogs, pet turf, a washing system, water and trash stations, and other pet-friendly features for the benefit of dogs and dog owners in the neighborhood. Through public-private cooperation, this project transformed what was once a gravel lot into a welcoming community gathering spot in the heart of downtown Milwaukee.
The Scoot Grandeur Apartments
The Scoot Grandeur is a four-story, 78-unit luxury apartment development with retail space and enclosed, heated parking. This multifamily and mixed-use development project is on the SW corner of Packard and Layton in Cudahy. The Scoot offers one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, a clubroom, a roof deck, and a fitness center as well as 4,100 SF of first-floor retail space. This projects was a great example of cooperation between the City of Cudahy economic development and the developer to bring quality housing to the neighborhood. The name “Scoot” refers to an old interurban rail line that brought workers to Cudahy at the turn of the century.
Yaskawa America
This manufacturing expansion project at Yaskawa’s Oak Creek facility involved 54,000 SF of additions and 26,360 SF of remodeling existing space designed to meet the client’s logistics needs, as well as add new testing lab space. The renovation included the addition of a new employee café, an outdoor lounge area, and restroom facilities within the manufacturing area, making them more accessible to team members. Additionally, the entire existing office space was updated to enhance finishes, the lobby/entry, and reconfigure workstations and conference areas.
