Work is underway at Balcan Innovations in Pleasant Prairie as their expansion project moves forward. Starting from the outside in, there is an upfront process of coordinating the structural/building layouts to make sure all our electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection trade partners have the equipment connections designed correctly. All foundation work and underground utility prep work is complete.
We then moved on to structural improvements to the existing building structure before the expansion steel arrives; including additional snow loading on the existing office roof, installing structural lintels where we are cutting into the existing precast for equipment access, and beginning existing slab removals. Lastly, we are wrapping up equipment coordination with their international equipment suppliers.
