Safety
MORE THAN JUST A WORD
It’s a way of life at Berghammer and on our job sites.

Our Commitment to Safety
Safety is Number One
The safety of Berghammer employees, clients and the public is our highest priority. Our commitment is to protect every person on our job sites and to make sure everyone goes home safely at the end of the day.
Safety in Action
Safe job sites are the result of careful planning, attention to detail, and adherence to a company-wide safety policy that is designed to protect everyone on or near a job site.
Our three-part approach to safety includes:
Written Policies and Regular Training
All Berghammer employees are trained in — and must follow — standard safety rules, instructions and procedures. We enforce safety guidelines that go beyond OSHA standards and maintain a written policy to guide all our safety-related operations.
Project-Specific Plans
The Field Superintendent prepares a safety plan specific to every project and is the on-site manager responsible for assuring compliance by everyone working on a project.
Independent Audits

Safety Training and Audits

Our commitment to safety involves written policies and training for all Berghammer employees; quarterly all-staff safety training, project-specific safety plans, and routine independent audits from the Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee and Brooks Safety of all projects. Having an independent entity review our safety procedures enhances the level of accountability for the plan and all team members.
