HEALTHCARE FEATURED PROJECTS

St. Luke’s Knisely & Schroeder Façade Replacement

Dental Associates – Waukesha

Aurora health Center – Six Points
West Allis, Wisconsin

Peeling off, then replacing, the exterior of a still-in-operation 12-story intensive care unit requires the right experience and the right temperament.

This Berghammer project at the Knisely Tower at Aurora St. Luke’s in Milwaukee demonstrated the unmatched level of creativity and expertise we bring to healthcare facility construction. Throughout the two-year façade overhaul, Berghammer successfully managed a series of obstacles:

  • Engaged multiple Aurora St. Luke’s departments in coordinating patient relocation in phases
  • Maintained negative pressure airflow to prevent room-to-room cross-contamination
  • Scrambled to take down mast climbers and crane booms with just 30 minutes notice when Flight For Life approached.

Berghammer’s work increased the building’s lifespan by 40 years. New façade material boosted energy efficiency 30 percent. Berghammer also found a solution for re-routing duct work that saved $700,000 from initial estimates.

When results matter and deadlines are imperative, Berghammer Construction is the only choice for healthcare facility construction in southeastern Wisconsin.
