Lakeview V – Hamilton Sundstrand

Taking advantage of an active tenant market, the owner desired to construct a large speculative building capable of being subdivided and directed for construction to proceed immediately. After construction was initiated, an anchor tenant was identified, Hamilton Sundstrand. The worldwide aerospace company was developing a new product line and required a tight schedule due to material and equipment deliveries from an existing plant. Lime stabilization of the parking lots areas allowed access to the site and construction to proceed throughout the winter season. Early front-end work allowed the building to be enclosed with asphalt and curb/gutter installation prior to winter. Berghammer contacts and subcontractors were brought in to assist the tenant with the tear-down, transportation, and re-installation of equipment from an out of state location, allowing the tenant to move in on time and start production.
