2021 Christmas Toy Drive!

Berghammer employees stepped up to the challenge of purchasing toys or donating money for toys — and Berghammer matched their generosity. Capuchin Community Services operates the better-known Milwaukee House of Peace and Milwaukee St. Ben’s Community Meal Program, with their stated goal to Protect Children and the Vulnerable. The Capuchins organized a Toy Drive again this holiday season to help those far less fortunate.

If you would like to participate in the Capuchins’ efforts, here is a link that offers direct purchase options via Amazon and Target Registries:

Downtown Montessori Academy Expansion Underway

Downtown Montessori Academy
Adolescent Building Expansion
Milwaukee, Wisconsin

This project is an expansion of the adolescent annex building on the Downtown Montessori Academy (DMA) campus and is the latest and largest project for this location. The project includes classrooms and multi-purpose space in a new three-story building connected to a 100-year-old cream city brick structure. It is a tight urban infill project that included demolition of an existing duplex and extremely limited staging areas, conducted while maintaining normal daily school classes and activities. Expanding the adolescent space to accommodate DMA’s high school-aged students is the latest project Berghammer has completed for DMA. DMA has entrusted Berghammer with multiple projects ranging from small interior renovations to major renovations and additions over the past nine years.
