Charlie Eads Joins Berghammer as Project Manager

Charlie is a graduate from UW-Platteville with a degree in Building Construction Management. His career path has lead him through transportation projects in roads, bridges, and railroads to a variety of different building structure types including wind turbines. When not busy working, he enjoys traveling around the Midwest, shuttling children to extracurricular activities, and spending time with family.

Christopher Rosene Named as a Principal

Berghammer Construction is pleased to name Christopher B. Rosene, Chief Financial Officer, as a Principal in the firm.

Chris leads Berghammer’s Finance and Treasury functions. His responsibilities include leading the design, documentation and implementation of proactive, efficient and effective financial and accounting policies, as well as the oversight of the preparation of corporate financial statements, budgets, corporate tax returns, and cash flow.

Chris serves as Berghammer’s primary liaison to the company’s external resources for banking, bonding, and corporate insurance (business and health) and directs and administers Berghammer’s corporate human resources, information technology, and risk management programs. He serves as a member of the Executive Management Team and participates in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model and operational execution.

Prior to joining Berghammer in 2012, Chris held leadership positions with similar responsibilities across various industries including 10 years with a national real estate development company. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of Wisconsin and is a member of the Construction Financial Managers Association (CFMA).

Matthew Iwanski Named as a Principal

Berghammer Construction is pleased to name Matthew Iwanski, Senior Project Manager, as a Principal in the firm.

As Senior Project Manager, Matt is responsible for coordinating aspects of a project from the assembly of budgets and schedules to the project closeout. He maintains daily communication with field personnel to ensure collective planning is maintained. Matt serves as Berghammer’s primary liaison for communication with the client, decision partners and subcontractors. He leads the development of bid packages, value engineering, project administration and subcontractor selection. He manages all work components from a project’s inception through completion. Matt is also responsible for proactive pre-job planning including design development, estimating, scheduling, bidding, contracts and project team communications. His project experience ranges from multi-phased renovations to new construction. Included in these projects, Matt has held additional leadership roles as the LEED Administrator of LEED Certified and LEED Silver projects.

Matt graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Construction Engineering and Management Option. He is a State of Wisconsin Licensed Professional Engineer.

Martin Chapa Named as a Principal

Berghammer Construction is pleased to name Martin Chapa, Vice President of Construction, as a Principal in the firm.

Martin specializes in the management of healthcare projects at every stage of development including feasibility studies, design development, multi-phasing coordination, construction management, and project closeout. His reputation for having the ability to blend the relationships of the user groups, design consultants, and the different trades, has been key in being able to deliver successful projects over his 30+ years of experience. This has also helped him understand the design intent, coordinate a common goal, and manage the project.

Martin is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies.

Synergy At The District Time-Lapse

Construction started at Synergy At The District, an upscale residential/mixed-use project next to the Mayfair Collection in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

The new residential development, called Synergy at The District, is near The Mayfair Collection and includes two five-story buildings that feature a total of 268 luxury units and 330 parking stalls.

The 50,000 square feet of space on the ground-level of the Synergy apartment buildings will be dedicated to retail, while the remaining floors will feature studio, one-bedroom and two bedroom units, with options for dens. Apartments will boast 450 to 1,200 square feet of space.

The first apartment building to the east is expected to be tenant-ready by fall 2018. The second building to the west will be ready by spring 2019.

The retail space on the first floor will be known as “The Mayfair Collection Promenade at The District” and feature fashion-oriented tenants.

Among the perks Synergy boasts are ground-level community gathering areas; 10,000 square feet of outdoor courtyard common areas with grilling equipment, fire pits and an outdoor cabana; a fitness studio with a CrossFit system; a large fitness center with a tanning studio; a Wi-Fi cafe; and a clubroom with a gourmet kitchen and media entertainment room. The units will also be furnished with their own washer and dryers, granite kitchen countertops and stainless steel appliances, among other features.

 

Berghammer Staff Racing Event

Berghammer office and field staff enjoyed an evening at Veloce Indoor Speedway. Berghammer President, Jim Parks, was dressed to impress with his “Ricky Bobby” race suit (which clearly helped him drive faster.)
