The artwork for this e-card was created on November 14, 2008 with children from the Academy of Learning and Leadership. This collaborative event, which was commissioned by Berghammer Construction Corporation, allows the youth to have their work reproduced as holiday cards. In an effort to uphold our environmentally friendly values, we decided to send our cards out via e-mail rather than postal mail this year.

Thank you to all of the contributing artists.

A.L.L.: Our Vision The Academy of Learning and Leadership is a focused and caring community of adults and children deeply committed to effectiveness, coherence, and quality in learning. We know that deep learning happens over extended periods of time in safe, disciplines, loving environments. The Academy is committed to these practices. We are an Expeditionary learning school. We teach through experiential learning in the real world, frequent and connected fieldwork, relevant data collection, the creation of useful products of quality, and service learning that is valued in our community.

The Academy of Learning and Leadership is a City of Milwaukee authorized, independent public charter school. We are located in the heart of the central city, serve 99.5% African American children, 95% qualify for free or reduced lunch, 20% are special education students and 100% are hungry for learning and community.

In honor of our friends and business associates, Berghammer is pleased to have made a contribution to Academy of Learning and Leadership.
