Werner Holentunder Joins Berghammer as Senior Vice President – Construction

Werner has more than 25 years of construction experience in a variety of settings, beginning his career as an apprentice carpenter, progressing to master journeyman carpenter, project superintendent and then project manager, supervising projects for more than 15 years before founding his own construction firm with two partners. Werner brings the strength of his extensive field experience, as well as his management skills to his projects. His standards of excellence that enabled him to become a master journeyman carpenter have carried over to his expectations for every project he undertakes.

Jim Gonzalez Joins Berghammer

With 22 years of experience, Jim Gonzalez joins the Berghammer team as Superintendent. His first two assignments are the additions at the Guest House of Milwaukee Inc. and Midland Plastics Inc. in New Berlin. Jim was previously with J.H. Findorff.

Tim Just Promoted to Vice President, Operations

Tim Just has been promoted to Vice President, Operations. Tim leads jobsite operations from pre-construction to closeout and commissioning. He has more than four decades of experience managing complex construction activities. Some of Tim’s major efforts include mold prevention programs, occupational safety and subcontractor management and selection, Berghammer Quality Control program and works close with our project managers and superintendents, keeping projects in budget and on time. Tim has served as President of the Associated General Contractors of Greater Milwaukee, AGC GM Labor Policy Vice Chair, and ACEA BOMED Vice President.

Beverly Smith Joins Berghammer as Assistant Project Manager

A 2011 graduate of the University of Michigan with a BS in Civil Engineering, Beverly Smith recently joined the Berghammer Medical Group as Assistant Project Manager, initially assigned to the Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center GI and SICU renovations. Beverly spent the first three years of her career at Johnson Controls.

Joseph Schmit Promoted to Vice President, Construction

Joseph Schmit has been promoted to Vice President, Construction. Joe will effectively lead Berghammer’s Senior Living initiative, supported by many talented people already serving us in this market sector. Joe holds both a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Masters of Business Administration from Marquette University and is a Registered Professional Engineer. With over 30 years of experience, Joe’s recent projects have focused on the senior living and multi-family markets, including the challenges of expanding existing occupied facilities and working on congested sites.  Joe’s senior living projects have included Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Memory Care, Therapy/Rehab and Community/Wellness.

Evan Brown Joins Berghammer

Evan Brown joined the Berghammer team as a Project Engineer.  A recent Civil Engineering graduate of UW-Madison, Evan will be working with our Project Managers, preparing schedules and site utilization plans for various projects.  His enthusiasm and eagerness to learn make Evan a great fit for the Berghammer organization.

Ashley has joined Berghammer as an Accountant. A recent University of La Crosse graduate, Ashley will be working with our accounting team handling construction draws, accounts receivables, accounts payable and project cost accounting.
